The Hillcrest Jaguars (Evergreen, AL) basketball toppled the visiting Flomaton Hurricanes (Flomaton, AL), 56-47 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Jaguars now possess a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe County for a 3A Area 2 bout on Friday, January 17. Hillcrest will play a Tigers team coming off a 37-27 league loss to Excel (Excel, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, Flomaton falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Georgiana (Georgiana, AL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Georgiana won 45-20 in their recent league bout against McKenzie (McKenzie, AL)
