Louisiana High School Basketball - Rapides overwhelms Opelousas Catholic
January 14, 2025: Opelousas, LA 70570 The Rapides Mustangs basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Opelousas Catholic Vikings to 23 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Holy Savior Menard for a 2A District 5 game on Friday, January 17. Rapides will confront a Eagles team coming off a 56-17 non-league loss to Simpson (Simpson, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-8.
With the loss, Opelousas Catholic falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Vikings host Crowley (Crowley, LA) to confront the Gent in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Gent go into the game with a record of 7-10.
