Virginia High School Basketball - Lord Botetourt can't hold off Fleming
January 14, 2025: Roanoke, VA 24017 Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA), 52-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Fleming advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Colonels travel to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA) to face the Pioneers in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 15. The Pioneers enter the match with a record of 1-5. Heritage won 52-26 in their recent non-league match against Liberty (Bedford, VA)
The Cavaliers now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league match on Friday, January 17. Lord Botetourt will face a Cougars squad coming off a 59-22 non-league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-2.
