In Friday's non-league outing, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC), by a margin of 81-59.

The Red Tornadoes (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the Northwestern 3A/4A outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Watauga smashed St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 61-47, in a league outing.

The Jaguars now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Huss for a Big South 3A outing on Tuesday, January 19. Forestview will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 78-59 league loss to Crest (Shelby, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 2-2.
