North Carolina High School Basketball - Covenant Day crushes Lake Norman

January 15, 2022: Matthews, NC 28105

Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC), 67-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Day upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Cannon (Concord, NC) to play the Cougars in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-11. Cannon lost 76-72 in their recent non-league bout against Weddington (Matthews, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC) in a 4A Conference 57 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Lake Norman will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record.
