In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Sanger Apaches basketball team scored a good 40-29 triumph over the Weston Ranch Cougars.

In their next game, the Apaches face the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers (Fresno, CA) in a County/Metro match, on Tuesday, January 18. Sanger will attempt to move on its 13-6 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 10-6 record after their 52-29 non-league win over Lincoln (Stockton, CA).

With the defeat, Weston Ranch moves to 4-8 on the year. The Cougars host Sierra (Manteca, CA) to face the Timberwolves in a Valley Oak League match on Tuesday, January 18.
