Ohio High School Basketball - Russia thwarts Willard
January 15, 2023: Russia, OH 45363 The Russia Raiders (Russia, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Willard Crimson Flashes (Willard, OH), 71-60 in Sunday's non-league test.
The Raiders (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Botkins (Botkins, OH). The Trojans go into the Shelby County test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Botkins notched a victory over Parkway (Rockford, OH), 47-40, in a non-league test.
The Crimson Flashes now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Port Clinton for a Sandusky Bay - Bay test on Friday, January 20. Willard will encounter a Redskins squad coming off a 66-62 non-league loss to Perkins (Sandusky, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 6-6.
