Richmond Heights Spartans (Richmond Heights, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westminster Academy Lions (Fort Lauderdale, FL), 75-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Richmond Heights upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH) to clash with the Fighting Irish in a Freelance bout on Friday, January 19. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 6-9. St. Vincent-St. Mary won 61-33 in their recent non-league bout against Cleveland Heights (Cleveland Heights, OH)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Bell Creek Academy Panthers (Riverview, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Westminster Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 82-72 non-league win over IMG Academy Blue (Bradenton, FL).
