Ohio High School Basketball - Liberty-Benton holds off Russia
January 15, 2024: Russia, OH 45363 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Liberty-Benton Eagles (Findlay, OH) and the host Russia Raiders (Russia, OH), saw Liberty-Benton's basketball squad hold off Russia by a tally of 46-41.
With the victory, Liberty-Benton improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host McComb (McComb, OH) to confront the Panthers in a Blanchard Valley challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. McComb lost 54-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Miller City (Miller City, OH)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Houston Wildcats (Houston, OH) in a Shelby County challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Russia will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 46-31 non-league win over Riverside (De Graff, OH).
