In Wednesday's non-league test, the Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ) basketball squad trounced the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), by a score of 66-27.

Next, the Wildcats encounter the Kellis Cougars (Glendale, AZ) in a 5A Northwest Valley test, on Friday, January 17. Willow Canyon will attempt to improve on its 16-2 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 7-8 record after their 61-52 non-league loss to Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ).
