The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the North Penn-Liberty Mountie (Liberty, PA) and the host Sayre Redskins (Sayre, PA), observed North Penn-Liberty's basketball team overwhelm Sayre by a score of 43-9.

The Mountie (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Cowanesque Valley (Westfield, PA). The Indians come into the Northern Tier - Small challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Cowanesque Valley trounced Williamson (Tioga, PA), 56-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Redskins battle the Canton Warriors (Canton, PA) in a Northern Tier - Small challenge, on Friday, January 17. Sayre will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 52-28 league win over Williamson (Tioga, PA).
