In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Cheshire Rams ice hockey team scored a close 7-4 triumph over the Joel Barlow Falcons.

The Rams (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Haven (North Haven, CT). The Nighthawks come into the Southern Connecticut - DII contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, North Haven got by Watertown/Pomperaug (Watertown, CT), 6-1, in a league contest.
