Illinois High School Basketball - Frankfort overwhelmed by Centralia
January 16, 2023: West Frankfort, IL 62896 The Centralia Orphans basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host Frankfort Redbirds to 31 in the Orphans non-league victory on Monday.
With the win, Centralia upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Orphans travel to Cairo (Cairo, IL) to clash with the Pilots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Pilots go into the bout with a record of 1-15. Cairo lost 86-40 in their recent non-league bout against Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL)
Next up, the Redbirds clash with the Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Frankfort will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 17-1 record after their 64-57 non-league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL).
