Tennessee High School Basketball - Gibbs holds off Clinton
January 16, 2023: Corryton, TN 37721 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) and the visiting Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN), saw Gibbs's basketball squad hold off Clinton by a tally of 55-54.
With the victory, Gibbs improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Scott (Huntsville, TN) to confront the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Scott won 85-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Apostolic Christian (Knoxville, TN)
Next up, the Dragons confront the Halls Red Devils (Knoxville, TN) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Clinton will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 96-37 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, TN).
