The West Vikings basketball team (Bakersfield, CA), was toppled 65-55 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Downey Vikings (Downey, CA)

The Vikings now possess a 21-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Mirada for a Gateway battle on Wednesday, January 18. Downey will confront a Matadores team coming off a 53-50 non-league win over Foothill (Santa Ana, CA). The Matadores record now stands at 17-6.
