New Jersey High School Basketball - South Plainfield nips New Providence
January 16, 2023: South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ) and the visiting New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ), saw South Plainfield's basketball squad hold off New Providence by a tally of 52-46.
With the victory, South Plainfield improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Sayreville (Parlin, NJ) to play the Bombers in a Greater Middlesex - White challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Bombers come into the challenge with a record of 2-13.
Next up, the Pioneers play the Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. New Providence will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 56-46 league loss to Cranford (Cranford, NJ).
