North Carolina High School Basketball - Perquimans overwhelmed by Northampton

The Northampton Yellowjackets basketball team scored 84 points and restricted the host Perquimans Pirates to 59 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Monday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King & Queen Central for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 18. Northampton will battle a Royal Tigers team coming off a 65-47 league win over West Point (West Point, VA). The Royal Tigers record now stands at 2-7.

The Pirates (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Falcons come into the 1A Conference 2 contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Bertie triumphed over Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC), 85-50, in a non-league contest.
