Iowa High School Basketball - Van Meter can't hold off Winterset
January 16, 2023: Van Meter, IA 50261 The Van Meter Bulldogs basketball team (Van Meter, IA), was nudged 57-55 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA)
The Huskies now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boone for a Raccoon River battle on Tuesday, January 17. Winterset will battle a Toreadors team coming off a 62-50 non-league loss to Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Toreadors record now stands at 5-8.
The Bulldogs (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA). The Trojans come into the West Central battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Pleasantville edged West Central Valley (Stuart, IA), 62-45, in a league battle.
