Illinois High School Basketball - South Elgin nudges Wheaton-Warrenville South
January 16, 2023: Wheaton, IL 60187 South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers (Wheaton, IL), 39-38 in a non-league bout.
With the win, South Elgin upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Storm host Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL) to clash with the Raiders in a Upstate Eight bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Glenbard South won 46-32 in their recent league bout against Glenbard East (Lombard, IL)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the St. Charles North North Stars (St. Charles, IL) in a DuKane bout, on Thursday, January 19. Wheaton-Warrenville South will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The North Stars go into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 52-30 non-league win over Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL).
