Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) and the host Troy Trojans (Troy, PA), saw Shamokin Area's basketball squad hold off Troy by a tally of 58-51.

With the victory, Shamokin Area improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Midd-West (Middleburg, PA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Trojans play the Cowanesque Valley Indians (Westfield, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Troy will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record.
