South Carolina High School Basketball - Laurens nudges Wade Hampton
January 16, 2024: Laurens, SC 29360 Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wade Hampton Generals (Greenville, SC), 55-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Laurens upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Raiders travel to Greer (Greer, SC) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a AAAA Region 2 bout on Thursday, January 18. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 17-3. Greer won 52-49 in their recent non-league bout against Dorman (Roebuck, SC)
Next up, the Generals clash with the Riverside Warriors (Greer, SC) in a AAAA Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 19. Wade Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 70-23 league loss to Eastside (Taylors, SC).
