Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL), 59-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln-Way Central upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 17-1. Homewood-Flossmoor won 67-51 in their recent non-league bout against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Sandburg will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 62-31 non-league loss to Joliet Central (Joliet, IL).
