California High School Basketball - Orangewood Academy nips San Gabriel Academy
January 16, 2024: Garden Grove, CA 92843 Orangewood Academy Spartans (Garden Grove, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA), 69-63 in a league bout.
With the win, Orangewood Academy upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Spartans host Pacifica Christian/Orange County (Newport Beach, CA) to play the Tritons in a San Joaquin bout on Thursday, January 18. The Tritons go into the bout with a record of 14-9. Pacifica Christian/Orange County lost 65-52 in their recent non-league bout against Central Catholic (Portland, OR)
Next up, the Eagles play the Fairmont Prep Huskies (Anaheim, CA) in a San Joaquin bout, on Thursday, January 18. San Gabriel Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 49-36 league win over Capistrano Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano, CA).
