Georgia High School Basketball - Academy for Classical Education thwarts Southwest

January 16, 2024: Macon, GA 31206

The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) basketball knocked off the host Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 42-30 in Tuesday's league test.

The Gryphons (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Greenwave go into the AA Region 2 test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Spencer went down by Central (Macon, GA), 61-41, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Central for a AA Region 2 test on Friday, January 19. Southwest will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 61-41 league win over Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 13-4.
