Nevada High School Basketball - Durango nips Canyon Springs

January 16, 2024: Las Vegas, NV 89113

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Durango Trailblazers (Las Vegas, NV) and the visiting Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV), saw Durango's basketball squad hold off Canyon Springs by a count of 48-44.

With the victory, Durango upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Trailblazers travel to Foothill (Henderson, NV) to play the Falcons in a 4A Desert challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Foothill lost 58-52 in their recent league challenge against Basic (Henderson, NV)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Del Sol Dragons (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Desert challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Canyon Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 67-17 non-league win over Sandy Valley (Sandy Valley, NV).
