South Dakota High School Basketball - Hamlin overwhelms DeSmet
January 16, 2024: DeSmet, SD 57231 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Hamlin Chargers (Hayti, SD) and the host DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD), saw Hamlin's basketball squad wallop DeSmet by a tally of 63-40.
With the victory, Hamlin improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Redfield (Redfield, SD) to confront the Pheasants in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Pheasants come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Redfield lost 54-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. DeSmet will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Sioux come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 49-20 league win over Sunshine Bible Academy (Miller, SD).
