The Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) basketball knocked off the visiting Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD), 56-36 in Tuesday's league test.

The Tanagers (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton notched a victory over Redfield (Redfield, SD), 54-17, in a non-league test.

The Huskies now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Akron-Westfield for a non-league test on Thursday, January 18. Elk Point-Jefferson will encounter a Westerners squad coming off a 43-33 non-league win over Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Westerners record now stands at 7-2.
