Wheatland Mules (Wheatland, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Montrose Blue Jays (Montrose, MO), 40-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wheatland upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Mules host Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, MO) to play the Tigers in a Polk County bout on Thursday, January 18. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Walnut Grove won 48-18 in their recent league bout against Humansville (Humansville, MO)
