West Valley Mustangs (Hemet, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Perris Panthers (Perris, CA), 37-35 in a league bout.

With the win, West Valley upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Liberty (Winchester, CA) to play the Bison in a Mountain Pass bout on Thursday, January 18. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Liberty lost 48-33 in their recent league bout against Tahquitz (Hemet, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Citrus Hill Hawks (Perris, CA) in a Mountain Pass bout, on Thursday, January 18. Perris will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 68-14 league loss to San Jacinto (San Jacinto, CA).
