New Mexico High School Basketball - Bernalillo overwhelms Cibola
January 16, 2024: Bernalillo, NM 87004 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM) and the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), saw Bernalillo's basketball squad wallop Cibola by a tally of 51-14.
With the victory, Bernalillo improves its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Shiprock (Shiprock, NM) to confront the Chieftains in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Shiprock won 45-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 38-25 non-league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM).
