Ironwood Eagles (Glendale, AZ) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles confront the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) in a 5A Northwest challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Ironwood will attempt to move on its 12-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ).

The Pride now possess a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame Prep for a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. Mountain Pointe will confront a Saints team coming off a 1-0 league win over Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Saints record now stands at 3-5.
