January 16, 2025: Aliquippa, PA 15001 Aliquippa Quips (Aliquippa, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA), 74-43 in a league match.
With the victory, Aliquippa upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Quips travel to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to face the Tigers in a WPIAL 3A 1 match on Friday, January 17. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 0-12. Beaver Falls lost 57-45 in their recent league match against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA)
The Warriors now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverside for a WPIAL 3A 1 match on Friday, January 17. Mohawk Area will face a Panthers squad coming off a 64-60 league loss to New Brighton (New Brighton, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 7-8.
