The Mitchell Tigers basketball squad (Mitchell, NE), was outscored 61-50 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Torrington Trailblazers (Torrington, WY)

With the victory, Torrington advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Trailblazers host Burns (Burns, WY) to meet the Broncs in a 3A Southeast battle on Friday, January 17. The Broncs enter the battle with a record of 3-8. Burns lost 69-45 in their recent non-league battle against Big Horn (Big Horn, WY)

The Tigers now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bridgeport for a C1 District 12 battle on Saturday, January 18. Mitchell will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-56 non-league loss to Alliance (Alliance, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-6.
