The Carthage Bulldogs basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Pine Tree Pirates to 54 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now have a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Henderson for a 4A Region II District 16 game on Tuesday, January 20. Carthage will confront a Lions team coming off a 42-30 league loss to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Lions record now stands at 9-12.
