Belt Huskies (Belt, MT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Augusta Elks (Augusta, MT), 72-9 in a league bout.

With the win, Belt upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Huskies travel to Fort Benton (Fort Benton, MT) to clash with the Longhorns in a C District 8 bout on Saturday, January 18. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Fort Benton lost 69-49 in their recent league bout against Highwood (Highwood, MT)

Next up, the Elks clash with the Geraldine Tigers (Geraldine, MT) in a C District 8 bout, on Saturday, January 18. Augusta will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 66-42 non-league loss to Grass Range/Winnett (Grass Range, MT).
