The Peninsula Catholic Knight (Newport News, VA) basketball knocked off the host Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 72-54 in Monday's non-league test.

The Knight (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA). The Crusaders go into the non-league test with a 13-3 record. In their last test, Catholic notched a victory over Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC), 70-44, in a non-league test.

The Aces now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hertford County for a 2A/3A Conference 15 test on Tuesday, January 18. Holmes will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 70-56 non-league win over Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Bears record now stands at 10-4.
