Rhode Island High School Basketball - Woonsocket tops North Providence
January 17, 2022: Woonsocket, RI 02895 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) and the visiting North Providence Cougars (North Providence, RI), saw Woonsocket's basketball squad knock off North Providence by a tally of 57-46.
With the victory, Woonsocket improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Villa Novans travel to Prout (Wakefield, RI) to play the Crusaders in a Division 2 challenge on Wednesday, January 19. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Prout lost 62-47 in their recent league challenge against West Warwick (West Warwick, RI)
Next up, the Cougars play the Central Knights (Providence, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Wednesday, January 19. North Providence will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 43-34 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI).
