South Carolina High School Basketball - River Bluff can't hold off Aiken

The Aiken Fighting Green Hornets basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host River Bluff Gators to 54 in the Fighting Green Hornets non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Fighting Green Hornets now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 contest on Friday, January 20. Aiken will battle a Thoroughbreds team coming off a 61-45 league loss to Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 7-10.

The Gators (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC). The Silver Foxes come into the AAAAA Region 4 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Dutch Fork edged Chapin (Chapin, SC), 52-37, in a league contest.
