Alabama High School Basketball - Faith Christian tipped by Oxford
January 17, 2023: Oxford, AL 36203 The Oxford Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Faith Christian Lions to 49 in the Yellow Jackets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alexandria for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. Oxford will meet a Valley Cubs team coming off a 62-59 non-league win over Glencoe (Glencoe, AL). The Valley Cubs record now stands at 7-5.
The Lions (15-7) will now prepare for their contest against Alabama School for the Deaf (Talladega, AL). The Silent Warriors enter the 1A Area 8 contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Alabama School for the Deaf was nudged by Wadley (Wadley, AL), 60-28, in a league contest.
