Kindred Vikings (Kindred, ND) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND), 72-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Kindred upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Maple Valley (Tower City, ND) to play the Raiders in a B Region 1 bout on Friday, January 20. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Maple Valley won 55-49 in their recent league bout against Richland (Colfax, ND)

Next up, the Pirates play the Central Cass Squirrels (Casselton, ND) in a B Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 20. Hankinson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Squirrels go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 51-46 non-league win over Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (Linton, ND).
