Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA), 77-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hudson upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-13.

Next up, the Huskies play the North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Oelwein will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 56-48 league win over Kee (Lansing, IA).
