Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL), 69-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gillespie upgrades its record to 5-16 on the season. The Miners host East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL) to clash with the Oilers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Oilers go into the bout with a record of 2-18.
