South Carolina High School Basketball - Westwood edges Ridge View

January 17, 2024: Columbia, SC 29229

The Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) basketball nipped the host Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC), 66-64 in Wednesday's league test.

The Redhawks (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Irmo (Columbia, SC). The Yellowjackets go into the AAAA Region 5 test with a 3-15 record. In their last test, Irmo was tipped by A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC), 71-55, in a league bout.

Next up, the Blazers clash with the Richland Northeast Cavaliers (Columbia, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 19. Ridge View will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 57-30 non-league win over Hannah-Pamplico (Pamplico, SC).
