The Brush Beetdiggers basketball team (Brush, CO), was nudged 35-30 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Ellicott Thunderhawks (Calhan, CO)

The Thunderhawks now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manitou Springs for a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks battle on Friday, January 19. Ellicott will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 56-38 league loss to St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-7.

The Beetdiggers (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Frontier Academy (Greeley, CO). The Wolverines come into the 3A Patriot battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Frontier Academy was nudged by Timnath (Timnath, CO), 83-37, in a league battle.
