Washington High School Basketball - Ocosta routs North Beach
January 17, 2024: Westport, WA 98595 In Wednesday's league outing, the Ocosta Wildcats (Westport, WA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting North Beach Hyaks (Ocean Shores, WA), by a count of 62-30.
The Wildcats (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against Pe Ell (Pe Ell, WA). The Trojans go into the non-league outing with a 13-3 record.
The Hyaks now hold a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Chief Leschi for a 2B Pacific outing on Friday, January 19. North Beach will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 69-13 league loss to Raymond/South Bend (Raymond, WA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.
First Quarter
Ocosta was led in scoring by Anna Davis (26 points and 21 rebounds) and Alexia Bradley (12 Points and 12 Rebounds). Towle added 8 Points, 4 Steals and 6 Assists as well. Elly Mirante had a season high 6 Points, 3 Assists and 2 Steals for the Freshman. Ocosta led 17 - 2 after the 1st quarter.
Fourth Quarter
Bradley and Davis Dominated the boards and collected 6 and 8 points each in the 4th quarter. Towle ended the night with 6 Assists. And the Wildcats had a season low 18 Turnovers on the night.

We worked hard at practice to play good solid defense and then reward themselves on the offensive end by having good ball movement and making good passes!! Once again the girls executed it greatly!!
