Florida High School Basketball - Somerset Academy can't hold off Westminster Academy
January 17, 2024: Pembroke Pines, FL 33029 The Westminster Academy Lions basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Somerset Academy Panthers to 49 in the Lions non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Somerset Academy Key for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Westminster Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 47-25 non-league loss to King's Academy (West Palm Beach, FL). The Lions record now stands at 0-4.
The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against American Heritage (Plantation, FL). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, American Heritage was nudged by NSU University (Fort Lauderdale, FL), 94-25, in a non-league contest.
