Missouri High School Basketball - Herculaneum can't hold off DeSoto
January 17, 2025: Herculaneum, MO 63048 DeSoto Dragons (DeSoto, MO) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Herculaneum Black Cats (Herculaneum, MO), 47-45 in a non-league match.
With the victory, DeSoto upgrades its record to 3-8 on the year. The Dragons host St. Louis Christian Academy (St. Louis, MO) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 0-1. St. Louis Christian Academy lost 61-52 in their recent non-league match against Jefferson (Festus, MO)
The Black Cats now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perryville for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. Herculaneum will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 75-69 non-league win over Valle Catholic (Ste. Genevieve, MO). The Pirates record now stands at 3-6.
