New Mexico High School Basketball - Eunice thwarts Mora
January 17, 2025: Eunice, NM 88231 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Eunice Cardinals (Eunice, NM) and the visiting Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM), observed Eunice's basketball team knock off Mora by a score of 51-38.
The Cardinals (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Gateway Christian prevailed over Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM), 66-57, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Rangers/Rangerettes battle the Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Mora will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 70-53 non-league loss to Pecos (Pecos, NM).
