South Carolina High School Basketball - James Island holds off Fort Dorchester

January 17, 2025: North Charleston, SC 29420

The James Island Trojans basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Fort Dorchester Patriots to 43 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now have a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Ashley Ridge for a AAAAA Region 8 game on Tuesday, January 21. James Island will confront a Swamp Foxes team coming off a 59-54 non-league loss to Pinewood Prep (Summerville, SC). The Swamp Foxes record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Fort Dorchester falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Stall (Charleston, SC) to confront the Warriors in a AAAAA Region 8 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 3-13. Stall lost 78-43 in their recent league game against West Ashley (Charleston, SC)
