In Friday's non-league test, the Great Bend Panthers (Great Bend, KS) basketball squad trounced the host Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS), by a score of 67-37.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs (Hays, KS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 28. Great Bend will attempt to improve on its 8-1 season record. The Monarchs come into the test with a 2-5 record after their 56-45 league win over Ellis (Ellis, KS).

The Salthawks (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Derby (Derby, KS). The Panthers come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I test with a 8-0 record.
